CHRISTMASTIME IS HERE!!!!

Well, it's been a while since I last posted. Life has been a little hectic to say the least. We had a great Thanksgiving at our house with Rich's mom, and sisters Bekee, and Rachael and their families, and we got to get a picture of my baby Bailee, Rachel's baby MaKayla, and Ronni's baby Tabitha together. MaKayla was born in July, and Bailee and Tabitha are only a week a part, both born in September. This makes 28 grandchildren and 17 grandaughters for Grandma Gloria, pretty crazy! Anyways, December is going quick, and of course we got our Christmas tree and decorations up finally, and our elf Link has come to make sure the Rodgers kids are staying on Santa's good list this year. He flys to the North Pole each night to report their behavior to Santa, and takes a new spot when he returns. It's always a race between Seth, Matt, & Megan to see where Link will be next. It's fun to see the excitement on their faces when they tell me where he is, and they love to feed him cookies, crackers, and whatever they can think of, and boy is Link quick he will sometimes eat their snacks so fast that the kids can hardly believe it! We took the kids to see Santa for FHE last monday, I forgot my camera to take some pics of them, we did get a pic of all of them on Santa's lap that you have to pay for, but I can't post it. They were all excited to tell Santa their requests and even Bailee was content to sit on his lap. I hope all of you are enjoying this Christmas time with your families and remembering the "reason for the season." I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and all he has done for me. I love him and his gospel more than words could ever express. He is the light of the world, and through him we find our greatest peace, joy, & salvation!
If I don't post again before Christmas, I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas!!!!! Rachael, Mom, Me, and Bekee

Yeah!!! It's Christmas time!

SEVEN ALREADY!!!!!

It's hard to believe that my M&M twins are seven years old! I still remember the day I found out I was pregnant with twins, and the shock, fear, and excitement I felt. Matt and Megan were born the day before Thanksgiving and were 5 weeks early. It was a special day for our whole family. It's crazy how time flies by and how fast my kids are growing up!

Well, this year I told Matt and Megan that they will need to take turns having a B-day party with their friends. Matt had his turn this year ,and Megan will get her friend party next year.
Matt chose to go bowling for his party. It was kind of crazy helping 11 boys bowl and keep up with their energy, and try and do presents, cake ect... by myself. Rich took Megan to the movie ,while I took care of Matt's party, and my mom tended Sadie and Bailee. The boys had a great time, but I was bummed that when I got my camera out to take pictures my sd card wasn't in their, so I only got a couple of pics on internal memory. Anyway, after the party we got some pizza and came home and let Matt and Megan open some presents. Well, we noticed Megan 's eye wasn't looking very good, come to find out it's pink eye, and now Sadie is showing signs of having it. We got the antibiotic eye drops, so I hope the girls eyes clear up soon. We are supposed to have Thanksgiving at my house with some of Rich's family. I sure pray all my kids will be healthy, so it won't mess up our plans!

Anyways, here is a couple of pics from their B-day, and a couple of pics of Rich with an Elk he shot during his Elk hunt this month.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!

Happy Birthday Matt & Meg!

Flag Football season almost over!

Flag football is almost over. Seth's season ended a week ago, and Matt's last two games are this week. Rich coached Seth's team this year. They had a lot of fun. They only lost one game, and Seth really impressed me this season. He played really well. Everytime he got the ball he scored a touchdown. He gets his speed and quickness from his Dad and Rich's brother Rob. His ability to see the field and get around the defense was definitely a big improvement from last year. He loves football and was sad to see the season end. Rich is an awesome coach, and the boys on his team like him alot. Seth has been begging us to let him play tackle football next year, but Rich would like him to play one more year of flag, and then in 6th grade move on to tackle, so we will see what happens!
This was Matt's first year of playing flag football, and he has done awesome! He is one of the older kids on his team, so that makes a difference of course. He has been a good leader for his team with helping the younger boys learn to play the game better. His coach likes him to be the quarterback to help get the ball to his teammates, but he also will get the ball a couple of times in a game and has scored touchdowns as well, so he is pretty excited about that! I enjoy watching my kids play ball, and to see the excitement on their faces when they do something great, but it's been a little harder this season with a brand new baby trying to juggle everything, and enjoy it all at the same time. It will be nice for a little break before they start basketball in January.

BUSY WEEKEND

Well, this weekend was a busy one for us! We had Halloween fun on Friday and Bailee's baby blessing today. To start off the kids had a blast on Halloween from their school parade and class parties, to going over to our good friends Nate and Angie Staheli's house for dinner, before we headed out as a big group trick or treating around Santa Clara. After the kids got to trick or treat with their friends, we went over to Rich's mom's house. We had a great time their hanging out and laughing at eachother's costumes. Rich's brother Rob dressed up as the grim reaper and scared the kids with his looks, and they even got to meet the real Cinderella from Disneyland (Rich's cousin Cindy) and boy did the kids believe she was the real Cinderella!! I of course just made it easy on myself and dressed as a WHOOPIE CUSHION don't come to close!!! HALLOWEEN was a lot of FUN, and the kids got way to much candy and will probably be on a sugar high for quite sometime!!!

Today we had Bailee Jean's baby blessing. Because of rainy weather and lack of space in my home, we had our luncheon at my parent's home. Thanks mom for letting us again dirty your house. The Bailey and Rodgers families had a great time together. Thanks again to my family and friends who supported us on this special day. We Love You!!!

Six weeks already!!!

Well, it's been over six weeks since I had Bailee Jean, and now I won't be able to make anymore excuses that I can't exercise yet! I still have a lot of weight to lose, and trying to figure out where I am going to fit that into my schedule right now is going to be a challenge to say the least. However, after 6 weeks of very sleepless nights and pacing the floor with a very colicky baby; last night Bailee fell asleep around 9 p.m. before her usual colicky hours, but this time she actually slept through her colicky time frame and did not wake up until 6 a.m. this morning!I kept waking up checking on her to make sure she was still breathing. She woke up a very happy baby and has been an angel so far today. I am hoping for more of the same sleep schedule tonight. I pray she is getting past her colic stage, sleep deprivation hasn't worn well on me.... Wish me Luck!

Bailee Jean is now 6 weeks old, and it has been a long and hard six weeks. She has been very colicky and needless to say. We haven't been getting a lot of sleep aroud here. I am hoping that she

The big Luau

It was Luau time for the Bailey's yesterday. We had a huge party for my Mom and Dad. It was so much fun. My dad sold the car lot (that's a celebration in and of it self) and my Mom turned 60!! So we figured it was time to party! It was the first time most of the family got to see Bailee Jean. She handled the party and the chaos quite well. All of the other kids and their cousins wore their selves out playing hard. Even though it was freezing outside the kids sure didn't care (I think they were on a sugar high from the pinata). A lot of my aunts and uncles and cousins were able to come down for the party. I'm so glad it was such a good turn out. Seriously, I have such a supportive family. I was able to get a precious picture with my mom, my Grandma and Bailee. I feel blessed to have such an amazing family.
