Happy New Year!!!!

I thought it was about time that I updated my blog on the Rodgers Christmas Holidays. We had a wonderful Christmas. On Christmas Eve we did our own little family Christmas Eve dinner, and then like every year our Elf link always leaves a sack of presents for the kids at the front door before he heads off to the North Pole until next year. The kids our way excited to get to open their presents from Link, it's always new jammies, and they are always amazed how quick link dissappears. After we had our spiritual Family Home Evening centered around Christ and his birth, we had Polar Express Pajama night and watched Polar Express before the kids went to bed. It snowed on Christmas Eve, so the kids woke up to a white Christmas for the first time ever. The kids were way excited about their gifts, it's always fun to see the excitement on their faces on Christmas morning. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner at my parents house. We had a blast hanging out with all my family. It was fun that my two brothers came up and stayed for Christmas. It was great to have all my siblings and our families together for Christmas. The kids have had a blast playing with their cousins and going to movies. I have ate way to much this past month, and I definitely have got my work cut out for me this year to shed all of these unwanted pounds!!!! Rich brought home the kids a belated Christmas present. A few days ago he bought a four month old cocker spaniel puppy (female). Although, I am not to excited aobut it, our kids are so excited to have a dog. The potty training thing is not too fun, and I don't like my house smelling like dog, but the kids our enjoying her and she is a good puppy not to hyper thank goodness. I'm sure she will grow on me, but right now it's just one more thing to take care of! We decided to name her Ginger. Anyways, I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's. I wish all good things to you this coming year. I can't believe it is 2009, man I am getting old! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Sounds like you've been busy with family and fun. Love the new dog...we have a boxer named Ginger...love the name. How fun for the kids, but I feel your pain on the smell and the work of a puppy. lol. It is like having another child.

I love, love Christmas jammies. The kids are darling, and I'm with you on the dog thing...Dustin and the boys are begging for one, and I'll probably cave. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
